VIETNAM AND THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA RELATIONS
1. Political relations
Vietnam and Armenia established diplomatic relations on July 14th 1992. Vietnam and Armenia have maintained traditional and fraternal relations. There have been no outstanding issues between the two countries.
Armenia’s Vice President paid a visit to Vietnam from December 11- 15 1992. The Armenian Foreign Minister visited Vietnam in August 2002. Vietnam has not conducted any high-level visit to Armenia.
2. Others
Vietnam and Armenia have signed a number of bilateral economic agreements:
- Agreement on economic and trade cooperation
- Agreement on investment promotion and protection
- Agreement on cultural, scientific and technological cooperation
- Protocol on cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries
The Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation covers Armenia. The Armenian Embassy in Beijing (China) covers Vietnam.
