Information about Viet Nam - Macedonia relation


Vietnam recognized and established diplomatic relations at Ambassadorial level with the Republic of Macedonia on 10 June 1994. The Macedonia Ambassador to Beijing also assumes the post of Ambassador to Viet Nam. The recent Macedonia Ambassador  Oliver Szamberski presented credentials on 9 December 2010. The Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria in Sofia assumes the post of Ambassador to Macedonia as well. At present, Ambassador  Tran Van Thinh presented credentials on 03 September 2009.

Vietnam – Macedonia relations at present are at normal protocol level.  Directly bilateral trade goods between two countries amount  annual 1-2 million dollars. The two countries have worked on a draft Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation for review and signing in the future.

Vietnam passport holders and citizens could travel to Macedonia with Schengen Visa from 1 October 2008.
