Two auxiliary bordergates opened along Vietnam-Laos borderline

(VNA): The people's committee of central highlands Kon Tum province has decided to open two auxiliary bordergates along the Vietnam-Laos border.

The Dak Plo bordergate in Dac Glei district will be connected to the Dac Pla auxiliary bordergate in Laos's Sekong province while the Dak Long bordergate to the Van Tat sub-bordergate in Laos's neighbouring province of Atopeu.

Two sub-bordergates will be the outcome of meetings between leaders of the three provinces in recent years.

Once completed, these bordergates will help promote the socio-economic and cultural development of the three provinces. They will also facilitate the travels of local people living along their common borderline.

In 2001, Kon Tum province started building the Bo Y international bordergate in Ngoc Hoi district. The province shares a 115 km borderline with Laos./.
