Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland presents credentials
Ha Noi (VNA) - Newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Nguyen Ngoc Son presented his credentials to President Samuel Schmid in Geneva on Mar. 10.
Speaking at the reception, President Schmid highlighted the fruitful development of the relationship between Viet Nam and Switzerland and stressed that his country gives priority to Viet Nam in terms of development assistance provision.
The Vietnamese Ambassador briefed the host about Viet Nam's renewal achievements over the past 20 years as well as its present socio-economic development and international integration policies.
The diplomat thanked the Swiss Government and people for their assistance to Viet Nam over the recent past, particularly development assistance. He stressed that Switzerland is one of Viet Nam's valued trade and investment partners in Europe and expressed his belief that bilateral ties will be continually strengthened and developed in the future, especially in the areas of investment, trade and tourism./.
