Vientiane (VNA): President of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Khamtay Siphandone, on April 6 received a visiting delegation of the Vietnamese Public Security Ministry led by Minister General Le Hong Anh.

Minister Le Hong Anh, who is also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, informed his host of the outcome of the talks between the Vietnamese delegation and the Lao Security Ministry, as well as the two sides' co-operation plan for 2005.

The Minister conveyed best regards from Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and State President Tran Duc Luong to the Lao President.

For his part, President Khamtay Siphandone spoke highly of the Vietnamese delegation's working visit to Laos and expressed his joy at achievements of the co-operation between the two countries in general, and the Lao Security Ministry and the Vietnamese Public Security Ministry in particular. The bilateral co-operation has contributed to crushing the schemes of reactionary forces and to protecting the two nations' Parties, regime's and people's peaceful lives, as well as to promote their national defence and construction, he said.
