Myanmar's Prime Minister begins visit to Vietnam


Ha Noi (VNA): The Union of Myanmar's Prime Minister, Lieutenant General Soe Win, and his entourage arrived in Ha Noi this morning, beginning an official visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.

A State ceremony to welcome the Myanmar Prime Minister was held at the Presidential Palace Square under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.

Present at the ceremony were Doan Manh Giao, Minister and Director of the Government Office; Pham Quang Nghi, Minister of Culture and Information; Nguyen Quoc Trieu, Chairman of Ha Noi People's Committee and other Vietnamese senior officials.

The two Prime Ministers held talks after the welcome ceremony./.
