Vietnam and China to speed up land border demarcation

Measures to speed up the border demarcation and marker planting along the Vietnam-China borderline have been discussed at the 12th Chairperson level session of the Vietnam-China Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting.

During the session, which took place in Beijing from May 13-20, Vietnamese and Chinese officials also reviewed border demarcation outcomes along their common border since March 2005.

The two sides agreed to hold the 13th Chairperson level session of the Vietnam-China Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting in Vietnam next July.

On this occasion, Assistant to the Chinese Foreign Minister Li Hui on May 19 received officials of the two sides attending the session. Vietnamese Ambassador to China Bui Trong Van also attended the meeting.
