(VNA) - Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, on an official visit to Canada, called at the Museum of Civilisation in Ottawa on June 26.
The PM signed in the visitors' book and presented a gift to the museum.
The same day, PM Khai and Deputy PM Vu Khoan attended the inauguration of a Viet Nam House and met with the staff of the Vietnamese embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Canada.
Deputy PM Khoan informed them of the results of PM Khai's recent official visit to the US and Viet Nam's socio-economic development in recent years. The deputy PM asked the embassy staff to work harder to promote external relations and trade promotion to boost the two countries' multi-faceted cooperation. He said that the party and state always view overseas Vietnamese as an integral part of Viet Nam and hope that they will actively contribute to Viet Nam's development.
