Vietnamese delegation to attend 16th World Youth Festival
(VNA): Viet Nam will send 135 delegates, comprised of students and youth representing armed forces, ethnic minorities, religions, and young business people, to the 16th World Youth Festival, to be held in Venezuela from August 7-15.
The delegation hopes to affirm Vietnamese youth's international solidarity for a world of peace, national independence, social progress and sustainable development.
It will organise activities to introduce Viet Nam - a country experiencing 30 years of war and 20 years of renewal, particularly of war crimes and Agent Orange victims, and foreign policy, to international friends.
The 16th World Youth Festival aims to widely unite democratic and progressive youth and students throughout the world in the struggle for peace, national independence, democracy, equality, progress and sustainable development.
