Meeting marks Mongolia's National Day
The Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association held a get-together in Hanoi on July 8 to mark the 84th National Day of Mongolia (July 11) and to present prizes to the winners of a quiz on Mongolia and the Vietnam-Mongolia friendly relations.
Addressing the meeting attended by Mongolian Charge d' affaires a.i. Dorj Enkhbat, Hoang Minh Thang, President of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association, reviewed the glorious victory of the Mongolian people on July 11, 1921 when they stood up to successfully carry out a people's revolution, ushering in a new era for the development of Mongolia.
He said that Vietnam and Mongolia are developing countries. The two peoples have maintained long-standing friendly and co-operative ties and helped each other in national construction and development. With this fine tradition, these ties would be further consolidated and developed, he said.
Also on this occasion, the organising board of the quiz, which was launched in November 2004, announced the results of the quiz. The first prize went to the staff of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Farm in Ba Vi district, Ha Tay province.
