NA Chairman Nguyen Van An meets other chief delegates to AIPO
Meeting with Lao National Assembly Chairman Samane Viyaketh, who is also AIPO President, An praised the host country's good preparations for the 26th General Assembly.
Chairman Samane Viyaketh thanked Viet Nam National Assembly for its assistance to Lao's National Assembly in organizing the event.
An also met with Yang Amat Berbahagia, Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives, and Bhokin Bhalakula, President of the Thai National Assembly on separate occasions. They discussed measures to continue to develop friendship and bilateral cooperation in various areas between Viet Nam and Malaysia and Thailand. At these meetings, Chairman An and the two parliament leaders also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern, and their bilateral cooperation at multilateral forums.
During the AIPO General Assembly, Chairman An also visited Laos' former Presidents Kaysone Phomvihane, and Souphanouvong and Advisor to the Lao Party Central Committee Nouhak Phoumsavan in Vientiane.
