Vietnamese National Assembly supports Mongolia's bid to join APEC
An made the pledge in response to the Mongolian MP's request for Viet Nam's backing during his reception of a delegation of Mongolia's parliamentarians the same day.
Chairman An told his guest that he regarded his visit to Viet Nam as a contribution to lifting the two countries traditional friendship to a new height.
He said he was pleased with fresh developments in all facets of cooperation and friendly ties between the two countries, especially between the two legislatures.
"It's my belief that these ties will develop further in the interests of the two people," Chairman An noted.
He told the Mongolian MP that he wanted to see the two countries law-making bodies continue enhancing their ties by frequently exchanging visits, sharing experiences and information, and increasing coordination at international and regional inter-parliament forums.
He pledged, "The Viet Nam National Assembly will act to urge its Government to translate into deed the agreements and cooperative documents already signed with Mongolia."
The Mongolian MP, who is also Chairman of Parliament Standing Committee on Food and Agriculture, told his host that his country wants to sign a tripartite agreement with Viet Nam and China concerning railway transportation as soon as possible.
Mongolia also wants Viet Nam to accelerate the implementation of their signed agreements in other fields, the Mongolian MP stressed./.
