Viet Nam re-elected as APF vice president
The Viet Nam Sub-committee to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophone (APF) was re-elected as a member of the executive board and vice president of the APF.
Nguyen Ngoc Tran, Chairman of the Viet Nam Sub-committee and Vice President of the APF, led the Vietnamese delegation to the 33rd session convened in Libreville, Gabon, from July 2-7.
Participants heard work reports regarding the APF’s 2005-2007 term, and discussed a number of issues, including migratory influxes in the Francophone area.
The session was attended by some 250 parliamentarians from 40 nations that used to and are speaking the French language.-(VNA)
