NA Chairman satisfied with Viet Nam-Malaysia ties
Viet Nam and Malaysia have performed well at regional and international forums, said National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong to new Malaysian Ambassador Lim Kim Eng in Ha Noi on August 15.
Chairman Trong underlined Malaysia’s hosting of the 28th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-28) in late August, that coincides with the 40th founding anniversary of ASEAN, 30th birthday of AIPA and the 50th National Day of Malaysia.
He said he believed the AIPA-28 would be successful in pointing to more practical and effective development directions for the assembly.
The Malaysian Ambassador said her country is willing to share experience with Viet Nam as well as to learn from Viet Nam in the fields that are Vietnamese strengths.- (VNA)
