Foreign Ministry launches website on visa exemption

Ha Noi (VNA) - A new website on visa exemption for overseas Vietnamese was launched by the Foreign Ministry on Aug. 29.
The new portal in both Vietnamese and English will help overseas Vietnamese to better understand the State decision on visa exemptions and guide procedures to make applications for visa exemption certificates.
Application forms for visa exemption can also be downloaded from this website.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem stressed that the website aims to facilitate the procedures of visa exemption for Vietnamese residents overseas, and is also part of the government's policy on IT applications to accelerate administrative reforms.
According to the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, currently, about 3.2 million Vietnamese people are living in 100 countries and territories, mainly in the US, France and Australia.
