Deputy PM meets Indian giant’s delegation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem on October 10 received a visiting delegation from Indian Corporate giant TaTa headed by its Managing Director Alan Rosling.

Deputy PM Khiem described the Indian delegation’s visit as an active contribution to boosting relations between the two countries, particularly economic and trade ties and cooperation between the business circles.

He expressed his hope that the visit would open opportunities for the two countries’ enterprises to cooperate in potential fields like tourism, hotel, automobiles and IT.

Director Rosling told the host that the delegation included leaders of TaTa’s subsidiaries, which are involved in telecommunications, steel, fertilizers, chemicals and transportation. The Viet Nam visit was made to study Viet Nam’s legal environment, market, investment policies, business opportunities as well as the export potential of the country.

TaTa has 96 subsidiaries operating in seven main fields of telecommunications, manufacturing, materials, services, energy, commodities and chemicals.

The group is present in 85 countries worldwide and exports its products to 80 nations.-(VNA)
