Viet Nam, Italy urged to foster economic ties
Ha Noi (VNA) – A leading Vietnamese legislator has suggested that Viet Nam and Italy further strengthen their economic, trade and investment cooperation in the future.
Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong made the recommendation while meeting with Osvaldo Napoli, President of the Italia-Southeast Asia Friendship Parliamentarian Group of the Italian Parliament, in Ha Noi on January 7.
Phong also said that Viet Nam wants to learn experiences, particularly in law making, from developed countries, including Italy.
Osvaldo expressed his wish that Italy and Viet Nam tighten cooperation in many areas, especially in economics and culture.
While in Viet Nam from January 4-12, the delegation of the Italia-Southeast Asia Friendship Parliamentarian Group is also scheduled to work with some central agencies and local authorities.
