Viet Nam, China speed up land border demarcation


Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam and China achieved positive results in classifying and defining the number of landmarks along the Viet Nam-China borderline.

At the 24th chairperson level-session of the Viet Nam-China Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting which was held in Beijing from March 7-14, the two sides discussed frankly specific measures to speed up land border demarcation and landmark planting.

The two sides are working to complete the demarcation by the end of June and totally finish the work by the year-end as agreed by the two countries’ high-ranking leaders.

They will hold their next session in Viet Nam early next month.
