Viet Nam to expand cooperation with Ireland

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has pledged to work hard to boost cooperation in economy, trade, investment, education and training with Ireland on the basis of the fine development of the two countries’ relations.

Viet Nam will also push the implementation of agreements reached during the PM’s visit to Ireland , Dung said while receiving Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Brian Cowen in Ha Noi on March 17.

PM Dung thanked the Irish Government for its official development assistance (ODA) commitment to Viet Nam for the next three years. He affirmed that Viet Nam will coordinate with Ireland to effectively implement development cooperation projects.

Deputy PM Cowen suggested that the two countries strengthen cooperation in tourism, education and training. He expressed his hope that Viet Nam would create favourable conditions in terms of visas for Irish citizens to go to Viet Nam for tourism and business purposes.(VNA)
