Qatar PM: Increasing investor interest in Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA)- Qatar Prime Minister Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jaber Al-Thani told State President Nguyen Minh Triet that Qatari investors were increasingly interested in the Vietnamese market during their meeting in Hanoi on April 3.

He said Qatar would send delegations to Vietnam to discuss concrete measures to facilitate investment in the Southeast Asian market.

PM Jaber Al-Thani said he strongly believed Qatar would be successful in its cooperation with Vietnam after many experiences working with other Asian countries.

He concluded by saying Qatar wants to become a long-term investor and economic partner of Vietnam .

State President Nguyen Minh Triet responded by saying Vietnam respects relations with Qatar and welcomes Qatari investors.

“ Vietnam is making efforts to improve the investment climate to become more and more transparent and provide the best available conditions for foreign investors to operate profitably in the country,” pledged the State President.

The Qatar Prime Minister left Hanoi the same day to wrap up his official three-day visit.
