RoK chief law-maker affirms support to Vietnam


Hanoi (VNA) – Speaker of the Republic of Korea (RoK) National Assembly Lim Chae-jung has affirmed his country’s support for Vietnam’s national renewal and international integration.

The NA leader made the remark while receiving a visiting delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by Politburo member and Standing member of the CPV Central Committee Secretariat Truong Tan Sang in Seoul on May 13.

Speaker Lim Chae-jung said the RoK attached importance to development of relations with Vietnam in the spirit of comprehensive partnership in the 21st century as agreed by senior leaders of the two countries. He said he was pleased to see the fine and rapid development of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK over the past time.

Troung Tan Sang noted that the effective collaboration between the two countries’ legislative agencies is a significant boost to relations.

The Vietnamese Party and State would do their best to expand friendship and cooperation with the RoK, continuing to create favourable conditions for RoK investors to do stable and long term business in Vietnam , he said.

The delegate said he hoped the RoK side would assist the Vietnamese community in the RoK.

The Vietnamese delegation began their visit to the RoK on May 12 and are scheduled to leave the country on May 16.
