Vietnam, Mongolia discuss further cooperation


Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Foreign Ministers of Vietnam and Mongolia stressed the two countries’ traditional friendship as a common treasure needed to be promoted at their talks held recently in Mongolia .

Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Dung and his Mongolian counterpart, Deputy Foreign Minister B. Enkhrmandakh, also discussed measures to boost the cooperation between the two countries and the two foreign ministries as well as exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.

They pointed to the need for the two countries to exert more efforts to foster their cooperation in economy, culture and education and to strengthen their cooperation and mutual support at regional and international forums.

Deputy Foreign Minister Dung is on a working visit to Mongolia from May 12-14 under an agreement reached between the two foreign ministries.

While in Mongolia , Dung paid courtesy visits to Mongolian Minister of Food and Agriculture Tserendoji Gankhuyag, Deputy Minister of Energy and Fuel Enkhtaivan Tundev and Deputy Minister of Road, Transport and Tourism Dorijpurev Batkhuyag.

During these meetings, the two sides discussed measures to enhance the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Mongolia is one of the 15 countries leading the world in terms of minerals reserves, particularly bronze, gold, iron, coal and oil and gas.
