Mexico-Vietnam friendly parliamentarians group makes debut
Mexico (VNA) – The Mexico-Vietnam friendly parliamentarians group has made its debut at the Mexican parliament’s headquarters.
Julian Ezequiel Reynoso, a Mexican Labour Party (PT) parliamentarian, was appointed as the chairman of the group, which includes 10 parliamentarians from six political parties in Mexico.
The group’s establishment is an important step that helps Mexico and Vietnam strengthen their friendship and cooperation, Chairman Julian Ezequiel said at the debut-making ceremony on June 11.
All members of the group will try their best to further develop the relationship between peoples of the two countries, he added.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexcio, Pham Van Que, and a visiting Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation headed by Director of the CPV Central Committee’s External Relations Department and National Assembly Deputy Tran Van Hang, witnessed the ceremony.
Ambassador Pham Van Que said the establishment of the group will play an important role for the two countries’ parliaments and peoples in accelerating their cooperation in many fields.–
