Vietnam presents Friendship Order to French Senate President
Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong on July 29 presented Vietnam ’s Friendship Order to French Senate President Christian Poncelet.
President Poncelet received the Vietnamese State ’s noble order for his active contributions to building, consolidating and developing the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and France .
Speaking at the award ceremony, NA Chairman Trong said that the presentation showed the appreciation of the Vietnamese state and people for President Poncelet’s contributions to the two peoples’ friendship.
He expressed his belief that President Poncelet will continue to make practical contributions to fostering the cooperation between the two countries in general and the two parliaments in particular.
For his part, the French Senate President said he wished Vietnam and France to strengthen cooperation for the better future of each nation
