Hanoi (VNA) – The Deputy PM said that the Vietnamese Party, State and people will continue to do their best to promote Vietnam-Cuba traditional relations.

He suggested that the two countries strive to build medium and long-term cooperative strategies in the fields of agriculture, industry, service and banking.

Vietnam and Cuba should also work to promote ties between their businesses and expand cooperation in oil and gas, tourism and consumer goods production industries, the Deputy PM added.

The Cuban minister thanked the Vietnamese government and people’s assistance to Cuba ’s development and highlighted the two countries’ close relations and solidarity.

He informed the deputy PM of the successful results of his working sessions with Vietnamese ministries and agencies on enhancing cooperation in rice production and oil exploitation.

Cuba is eager to learn from Vietnam ’s experiences in rice production and hopes to receive even more support from the country in this field, the official said.
