Party leader seeks close ties with Japanese communists
Mr Manh spoke highly of the JCP’s remarkable achievements in the struggle for social welfare, democracy and social development in Japan and affirmed that the CPV wholly supports their Japanese counterparts in such causes. He welcomed the second theoretical exchange between the two parties in Hanoi on September 24-26 to share experiences and raise public awareness of socialist theory and its application in the new era.
For his part, Fuwa Tetsuzo congratulated the Vietnamese people on their impressive achievements in the Doi Moi (Renewal) process and thanked the CPV for its support to the JCP in the past and at present.
Earlier, a Vietnamese delegation led by Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee, held talks with the Japanese delegation.
The two sides exchanged views on a number of theoretical issues of common concern and discussed ways to strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the two parties in the future.
