Vietnam, Laos compile history of special relationship
Rua, who is also headed of the CPV’s Commission for Information and Training gave thanks for the glorious assistance given to Vietnam by the Lao Party, State, and people and stated that Vietnam is determined to develop the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation enjoyed by the two countries.
Bounnhang Vorachit praised the efforts of the two steering boards in implementing agreements by the two Parties to complete this project of historical significance.
The Lao Party official expressed his hope that Laos would continue to receive cooperation and assistance from the Vietnamese Party and State.
Earlier, on Oct. 12 the Vietnamese delegation held talks with Laos ’ Steering Board for a compilation of the history of Vietnam-Laos special relations, headed by Phandouangchith Vongsa, member of the LPRP Central Committee (LPRP CC) and Head of the LPRP CC’s Commission for Information and Training.
During their three-day working visit to Laos , the Vietnamese delegation was scheduled to visit the LPRP CC’s Commission for Information and Training, the Kaysone Phomvihane National Defence Institute, and a number of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos.
The history of Vietnam-Laos special relations and military alliance is viewed as a major project of great international significance. It aims to record the glorious history of the traditional special relations between the two Parties, States, fatherlands fronts, armies and people of Vietnam and Laos in their joint struggle against foreign invaders and in national industrialisation and modernisation.
The compilation will cover a wide range of documents, memoirs and chronicles recording events detailing the history of Vietnam-Laos special relations, as well as a set of photographic volumes and documentaries focusing on the two countries.
