Vietnamese, Chinese armies talk disaster relief
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam and China on November 3 shared experiences in search and rescue and discussed the army’s activities to help natural disaster-hit people to restore their normal lives.
Visiting Senior Lieut. Gen. Liu Yong Zhi, deputy director of the General Political Department of China’s People Liberation Army, and Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Tuan Dung, deputy director of the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, also discussed the implementation of policies for servicemen during their meeting in Hanoi .
The two sides agreed to increase the exchange of visits by delegations and boost training cooperation to contribute to fostering traditional friendship between two countries and the two armies.
The same day, Liu Yong Zhi paid courtesy visits to Minister of Defence Phung Quang Thanh and General Le Van Dung, director of the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army.
