Overseas agencies talk business with local enterprises
More than 50 representatives from northern regional businesses, ambassadors and the heads of overseas Vietnamese representative agencies exchanged views on the role played by such agencies in supporting and creating favourable conditions for local businesses to invest in foreign countries. They also discussed the current system of recommending domestic partners to foreign businesses who wish to enter the Vietnamese market.
The businesses were provided with up-to-date information regarding major global markets such as the US, Japan, EU, China and Russia, as well as potential markets, including the Middle East, Africa and Northern Europe.
The attending businesses made a number of proposals regarding issues such as the establishment of favourable trade policies, the provision of advice and support for businesses in signing international economic and commercial agreements, the appraisal of foreign partners, and helping businesses to locate potential and strategic partners.
They also hoped that the agencies would provide more information regarding laws, products, services, and trends within foreign markets, particularly those that are relatively unaffected by the global economic recession or have yet to impose technical trade barriers.
