Vietnam-Tunisia visa exemption pact to come into effect

Hanoi (VNA) – An agreement between Vietnam and Tunisia regarding visa exemption for diplomatic, official and special passport holders will come into force as from Jan. 20, announced the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department.

Under the terms of the agreement, which was signed in Hanoi on June 26, 2007, Vietnamese citizens who hold valid diplomatic and official passports and whose stay in the other country does not exceed 90 days will be granted a visa exemption.

Diplomatic and special passport holders from Tunisia , whose length of stay does not exceed 90 days, will also benefit from the treaty, according to a consular department source.
