Vietnam, Ukraine step up cooperation in state auditing

VNA 16/09/2009 - A delegation from Vietnam’s State Auditing, led by State General Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue, held talks with their Ukrainian counterparts, headed by the President of the Ukrainian Auditing Service, V.K. Simonenko, on September 15 to discuss bilateral cooperation in the field.

The two discussed the possible signing of a cooperation agreement next year and exchanged information on various aspects of state auditing, especially Ukraine’s experience of regulating auditing agencies.

They also examined research on new forms of auditing in hi-tech, ecological and energy saving areas.

The Vietnamese auditors were received by First Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Alexander Lavrynovych, the same day.

First Vice Speaker Lavrynovych said that he highly appreciated the level of cooperation between the state auditing bodies of both countries, saying that it has helped to improve the management and supervision of state property and the budgets of both nations.

On September 14 the Vietnamese delegation paid a working visit to state auditing agencies in the cities of Odessa and Khersol and the province of Nikolayev./.
