Vietnam, France exchange legislative experience
The delegation also had a working session with the France-Vietnam friendship parliamentarian group.
During their meetings, the two sides discussed organisational structure and the operations of researching institutions that support French parliamentarians.
The Vietnamese side highly appreciated France’s professional law-making process as well as the application of information technology in database management, which they said useful for Vietnam, especially at the time when the Southeast Asian country is planning to build an e-legislative body.
French parliamentarians praised the cooperation between Vietnam and France in many fields, including that between the two legislative bodies and expressed their willingness to assist Vietnam in fulfilling three NA basic functions, namely law-making, supervision and decision on the country’s important matters.
Established one year ago, the NA’s Institute for Legislative Studies has implemented international cooperation programmes with other legislative bodies of such countries as Canada, the Republic of Korea, France and Australia./.
