Danish royal family heads for central, south of Vietnam

VNA 04/11/2009 - Queen Margrethe II and Prince Consort Henrik of Denmark on November 4 left Hanoi to continue their trip to other cities and provinces in the central and southern regions.
Seeing off the Danish royal family at the airport, State President Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his belief that their visit will contribute to furthering friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
 
The Queen and Prince Consort Henrik expressed their delight at the opportunity to visit various places along the coastline of Vietnam , including the central city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. They will also visit the central highland province of Lam Dong.
 
The visit will tighten the friendly relations between Denmark and Vietnam, the Queen said.
 
The Danish Queen took this opportunity to extend her condolences to the flood victims in the central and central highland provinces of Vietnam , who have suffered great losses in human life and property due to typhoon Mirinae.
 
Earlier the same day, the Royal couple visited the Mascot International Vietnam Ltd. Company in the northern province of Hai Duong and met with provincial authorities. The Denmark-invested company has a registered capital of 10 million USD.
 
As part of the activities to welcome the Queen’s visit, the Embassy of Denmark and the Hanoi Planning and Architecture Department on the same day held an urban planning workshop with Danish architect Jang Gehl./.
