Vietnam, Egypt eager for economic ties
The duo met in Hanoi on January 25 as part of Mohieldin’s official visit to Vietnam, where the host emphasised that the two countries left untapped their huge potential in a number of fields, ranging from industry to construction, services, commerce and banking.
“That’s why big opportunities for business circles from the two countries are ahead and should be grasped,” urged the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam.
Hung pointed out that a boost in bilateral ties would be a spring pad to strengthening relations between Vietnam and the Middle East as well as between Egypt and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The Egyptian minister said a number of industrial executives are accompanying him on this visit to look for business opportunities in Vietnam. He added that he expected more and more Vietnamese businesses would come and conduct market surveys in Egypt.
“The two countries are expected to get balanced in trade relations soon,” he concluded.
