TV programme on Agent Orange/dioxin to be aired
(VOV - 21/7/2011) - The event is organised by the Viet Nam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA) in coordination with HTV channel, with the aim of marking the 50th anniversary of the Agent Orange/Dioxin disaster in Viet Nam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2011).
(VOV) - A special programme on Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin will be broadcast live on HCM City television channel HTV at 8.30pm on August 7.
The programme will be aired in the War Remnants Museum in HCM City and the Ngoc Hoi district in the Central Highland province of Kon Tum, where the US began to spray the AO/dioxin toxic chemical in Vietnam in 1961.
During the event, exchanges among victims, witnesses, researchers and Vietnamese and foreign journalists will take place.
