Party leader receives Lao women representatives
(VNA - 04/05/2012) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on May 3 received representatives from the Lao Women’s Union in Ha Noi, headed by its President Sisay Leudetmounsone.

The Lao delegation visit’s was one of the activities held to celebrate the bilateral Friendship Year 2012 and the 50 th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
Addressing the meeting, Trong said the comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos was “invaluable property of the two peoples that needs to be preserved for the future generations.”
The Party leader appreciated the role of the women’s unions in fostering ties between the two countries.
The Lao representative said her union will continue to cooperate closely with the Vietnamese women’s organisations in the future.
She also thanked Viet Nam for the country’s supportive stance toward the Lao people in general and Lao women in particular.
