Prime Minister welcomes Lao Chief of General Staff
(VGP – 28/05/2012) - National defense cooperation has positively contributed to consolidating and enhancing the special ties between Viet Nam and Laos, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The Government chief made the statement while receiving visiting Major-General Suvon Luongbunmi, Chief of the General Staff of Lao People’s Army in Ha Noi on Monday.
The Vietnamese Government always supports cooperative activities between the two armies, affirmed Prime Minister Dung.
He asked the two armies to boost cooperation, particularly in experience exchanges, human resource training and security guarantee along the border line.
PM Dung also expressed his hope that Laos would continue to help Viet Nam repatriate remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts from Laos.
