On behalf of the Presidium, Tran Dinh Hoan, Party Politburo member, delivered a report on delegates' opinions and explanations relating to the 9th Party Central Committee's Report on personnel work of the 10th Party Central Committee.

On behalf of the Presidium, Truong Tan Sang, Party Politburo member, delivered a sum-up report on self-nominated and nominated candidates to the 10th Party Central Committee and candidacy withdrawals of delegations and delegates.

Delegates continued discussing self-nomination, nomination and withdrawals of candidates at the conference hall.

After summing up delegates' opinions on self-nomination, nomination and withdrawals of candidates to the 10th Party Central Committee, the Presidium presented to the Congress for consideration the list of self-nominated and nominated candidates to be elected for the 10th Party Central Committee.

The Congress voted in approving the list of self-nominated and nominated candidates and agreed to the cases of withdrawal from the list of candidates to the 10th Party Central Committee.

The Congress adopted a list of 207 candidates for electing 160 full members of the 10th Party Central Committee and a list of 46 candidates for electing 25 alternate members of the 10th Party Central Committee.

The Congress also voted in approving a list of 39 members for the Congress vote counting board, with Nguyen Van Yeu, Party Central Committee member of the 9th tenure and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, as Chairman.

In the afternoon, delegates cast their ballots to elect the 10th Party Central Committee at the conference hall./.
