At a reception in Ha Noi on May 8, President Luong reminded the ambassadors of the Party and State's foreign policy, which aims to maintain peace and stability, firmly protect sovereignty and territorial integrity, and create all favourable conditions for the country's economic development.

The ambassadors should provide more information about Viet Nam to leaders and people in the countries where they will work as well as to overseas Vietnamese there, the President told the diplomats, saying: "the better an understanding about Viet Nam our friends have, the more favourable conditions we gain to conduct our industrialisation and modernisation process."(VNA)
