Vietnam becomes second largest footwear exporter to Spain
(VOV) In 2007, Vietnam earned EUR220.3 million from footwear exports to Spain, a year-on-year increase of 10.68 percent, and remained second largest footwear exporter to the European country after China.
According to the Spanish Footwear Producers Federation (FICE), Vietnam exported 30,024 pairs of shoes to Spain last year, making 12.57 percent of Spain’s footwear import value.
Between 2002-2007, Vietnam’s footwear exports to the European country increased three folds in volume and 62.6 percent in value, FICE said.
