He said he hoped that the successful business forum held in Hanoi on February 27 during Foreign Minister Celso Amorim’s Vietnam visit has made Brazilian companies interested in the Southeast Asian country and two-way trade between the two countries is expected to increase to 500 million USD in 2008 from 312 million USD last year.
The figure is likely to hit 750 million USD in 2009 and 1 billion USD in 2010, he added.
During the visit, Ambassador Dinh met with Samir Passos Awad, Executive Manager for America , Africa and Asia of the Brazilian national oil company, Petrobras, which is the fifth largest in the world.
Samir expressed his wish to enhance cooperation between Petrobras and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).
