Exhibition on changing Hanoi to kick off “Europe Days”

Hanoi (VNA) – A series of cultural and intellectual events called “Europe Days” will kick-off on April 29 with a photo exhibition depicting Hanoi and Hanoians undergoing great changes.

The “Changing Hanoi” exhibition by Geman artists Julia Albrecht and Busso von Muller consists of large photos and interviews with citizens of all ages and backgrounds broadcast over speakers.

It is followed by 12 other events for children and teenagers, including a drawing competition, a European film festival for children and youth, and a European Union-Vietnam children’s football match.

There will also be seminars on EU-Vietnam trade relations, something the French Ambassador to Vietnam and local EU President, Herve Bolot said is a firm foundation of cooperation between the two sides.

The diplomat added the long and diverse EU-Vietnam relations are based on cooperation in various areas such as trade, politics and culture.

“Europe Days” will help increase the understanding between European and Vietnamese people as culture is the heart of emotional expression, the local EU President said.

“Europe Days” has been an annual cultural event since 2004.
