An exhibition on Vietnamese culture entitle “ Vietnam -My Friend” opened at the Korea National Museum in Seoul on September 5.

Seoul (VNA) – On this occasion, Thang Long water puppetry group gave a performance at the museum the same day.

Addressing the opening ceremony, a diplomat from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK) stressed that the exhibition was a significant event to help the two people understand more about culture and customs of each nation.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Deputy Director of the Thang Long Water Puppetry Theatre, expressed his hope that this tour would contribute to boosting relations between the two countries.

On September 6, the water puppetry group gave a performance to families of Vietnamese wives in the RoK.

At present, the number of Vietnamese wives in the RoK is about 25,000. The RoK Government and local social organisations have given many efforts to help them integrate into the community and create a fair environment for foreign wives in the country, including Vietnamese ones, as well as their children.
