US education exhibitions to open next month
Hanoi (VNA) – Four exhibitions on the US education will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in October, according to the Institute of International Education in Vietnam (IIE Vietnam).
The American Community College Exhibition will kick off the US education month with two shows in Ho Chi Minh City on October 1 and in Hanoi two days later.
At the exhibition, representatives from 23 American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) members will provide Vietnamese students with information on their curriculums.
The month will continue with the 2008 American Education Exhibition to be held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on October 7 and 9 respectively.
The annual IIE Vietnam-organised event will offer a chance for Vietnamese students and their parents to exchange on issues of their concern with representatives from qualified US universities and colleges.
This year’s exhibitions are expected to draw the largest number of participants, including 95 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and 52 in Hanoi .
IIE Vietnam is a branch of the Institute of International Education (IIE), a New York-based non-profit organisation, which was established in 1919 with the aim of boosting peace and mutual understanding through cultural and educational exchanges. IIE has been present in Vietnam since 1997.
