Vice President receives OV Uncle Ho storytellers

(VNA) – Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan warmly received 30 overseas Vietnamese (OV) examinees who will compete in a storytelling competition, telling tales depicting President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples on October 9.

Vice President Doan expressed her pleasure at receiving the overseas Vietnamese delegation and highlighted the great political significance of the campaign to study and adhere to Uncle Ho’s moral examples. Doan also briefed the delegation on the country’s socio-economic situation and attributed the contribution of overseas Vietnamese to achievements in national development.

Members of the delegation expressed the honour they felt in participating in the contest and that it represents a chance for them to show their affection for Uncle Ho. They affirmed that overseas Vietnamese around the world continually strive to contribute further to their fatherland.

The contest has been widely publicised in order to help raise public awareness of Uncle Ho’s thoughts, deeds and moral examples./.
