Enterprises raise funds for poor overseas Vietnamese
Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City on December 30 donated almost 353,000 USD to a local fund to organise a charity music show in support of poor overseas Vietnamese.
The fund for Overseas Vietnamese Community (FOVC) plans to hold the music show on Jan. 4, 2009 which will be broadcast live on the Ho Chi Minh City television.
The money raised from the show will be channeled to poor overseas Vietnamese on the upcoming Lunar New Year festival and used to build schools for overseas Vietnamese communities in Cambodia and Laos.
