Brussels (VNA) – The deputy PM made the appeal on Sept 18 at the Vietnam-Belgium Business Forum, which was hosted in Brussels by the Vietnamese Embassy and was attended by more than 30 Belgian entrepreneurs.
Khiem, who was also on a visit to Belgium and the European Union, informed local businessmen of the potential rewards available by investing in Vietnam. However, he pointed out some of the challenges facing foreign investors in Vietnam , including a shortage of skilled workers, outdated technology and fierce competition on the Vietnamese market.
Many of the participating Belgian entrepreneurs said that they viewed Vietnam as a safe and attractive destination not only for tourists but also for investors, with some of them expressing willingness to invest in law consultancy and commodity transportation and insurance in Vietnam.
During the same day, Deputy PM Khiem took time to meet with Vietnamese Embassy staff and the Vietnamese Trade Mission employees before wrapping up his visit to Belgium and the European Union.
