+ PM Nguyen Tan Dung to attend COP 21 and pay working visit to Belgium and EU
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of France Francois Hollande, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission (EC) Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will attend the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Paris from 30 November to 1 December, and pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union (EU) on the 2 December 2015.

As countries are stepping up efforts in response to non-traditional security challenges, including climate change, the COP21 is expected to focus on the establishment of a new global legal framework and aimed to achieve the 2015 Paris Agreement to be implemented from 2020.

The participation of the Vietnamese delegation reaffirms the commitment of the Vietnamese government to join efforts with the international community in response to climate change, and to strengthen cooperation with other countries and international organizations in this field. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will attend and deliver remarks at the COP21 High-level Meeting, co-chair the High-level Dialogue themed “Viet Nam joins hands with international partners to respond to challenges of climate change in the Mekong Delta”, and hold bilateral meetings with France and other partners.

During the working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium and the EU, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will meet with  President of the EC Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz to exchange on measures to promote prioritized areas for mutual cooperation, in accordance with Viet Nam’s development goals such as energy, green growth, and vocational training.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will also hold talks with Prime Minister Charles Michel, meet with leaders of the Belgian Parliament to exchange on measures to promote cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transportation, aviation and space.

+ DPM Hoang Trung Hai to pay official visit to Israel and Slovakia

At the invitation of the Governments of the State of Israel and the Republic of Slovakia, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai will pay official visits to the State of Israel from 1 to 2 December and to the Republic of Slovakia from 4 to 5 December 2015.

The visits clearly show the great importance that Viet Nam attaches to enhancing the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Israel and Slovakia. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai will exchange with leaders of the two countries on concrete measures to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology, education and training, health care, culture, and tourism. They will also discuss the promotion of coordinated actions in the international arena and international issues of mutual interest.

In Israel, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai will hold talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, pay a courtesy call to President Reuven Rivlin, and attend and deliver remarks at the Economic Cooperation Forum.

In Slovakia, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai will hold talks with his counterpart of Slovakia, pay a courtesy call to the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Council, and attend the Viet Nam - Slovakia Business Forum.

+Brazilian President to pay official visit to Viet Nam

At the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Dilma Russeff will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from 1 to 2 December 2015.

During the visit, the two sides will exchange on measures to enhance the comprehensive partnership at both bilateral and multilateral levels, especially in economy and trade, science and technology, agriculture, energy, defense, and aviation. The two sides will also discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Brazilian President will hold talks with President Truong Tan Sang, meet with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung, and attend and deliver remarks at the Viet Nam - Brazil Business Forum.
