Vietnam is willing to actively contribute to improvement of the relations between the two sides and peace process in the Korea Peninsula

Question: Please provide Vietnam's stance on the “Declaration on the Advancement of South-North Korean Relations, Peace and Prosperity” released by DPRK and the Republic of Korea?

Answer:

Vietnam welcomes and appreciates the outcomes of the Second Korean Summit. This is a positive and important step forward in the roadmap of improvement and development of relations between the two Korean sides toward the goal of building sustainable peace in the Korean Peninsula. Vietnam hopes that implementation of the outcomes of the Summit will contribute to promoting reconciliation and cooperation and maintaining peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the region.

Vietnam always wishes to see peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, supporting peaceful settlement of the Korean Peninsula’s issues through dialogues as well as aspiration for peace and national reunification of the people of the two sides.

Vietnam is willing to actively contribute to improvement of the relations between the two sides and peace process in the Korea Peninsula.
