We would like to extend our profound condolences and sincere sympathy to the State, Government, people of Myanmar and the victims’ families

ANSWERS QUESTION ON  MAY 6th, 2008

On May 6th, 2008, in answer to questions by correspondents concerning Vietnam’s response on the toll caused by Cyclone Nargis in the west of Myanmar on May 2, 2008, the Spokesman of Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Le Dzung stated:

We are deeply touched by the news that Cyclone Nargis has caused enormous damages to Myanmar, leaving tens of thousands dead or missing and hundreds of thousands homeless.

We would like to extend our profound condolences and sincere sympathy to the State, Government, people of Myanmar and the victims’ families.

It’s our belief that the Myanmar people will swiftly overcome the consequences and the lives of the victims’ families will soon be stable.

On May 6th, 2008, Vietnam’s leaders sent messages of condolences to the State, Government and people of Myanmar.
